NATIONAL PROGRAMME FOR TRANSFORMING TURKMENISTAN INTO A TOBACCO-FREE COUNTRY FOR 2026–2030 APPROVED

In order to ensure the spiritual and physical well-being of the population, combat tobacco use, significantly improve public health and enhance citizens’ welfare, increase life expectancy, as well as implement effective and comprehensive measures in this field, the President of Turkmenistan signed a Resolution.

The document approves the National Programme for Transforming Turkmenistan into a Tobacco-Free Country for 2026–2030 and the Action Plan for its implementation.

According to the document, the ministries, ведомства, and the khyakimliks of the velayats, as well as the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag, have been instructed to ensure the implementation of the above-mentioned National Programme.
