The 6th Meeting of the International Association “Türkmen alabaý itleri” Held in Turkmenistan

On October 24, the 6th meeting of the International Association “Türkmen alabaý itleri”, dedicated to Turkmen Alabay Day, was held at the Center of the International Akhal-Teke Horse Breeding Association and the “Türkmen alabaý itleri” Association.

This forum became an important event aimed at further enhancing the worldwide reputation of Alabay dogs, which are a national treasure of the Turkmen people.

The meeting was attended by heads and specialists of relevant organizations, sectoral governing bodies, higher education institutions, members of the Association, and foreign cynologists.

Participants of the meeting viewed an exhibition of creative works dedicated to the artistic depiction of the courage of Turkmen Alabay dogs in works of fine and decorative arts, carpet products, and photographs.

During the meeting, the activities of the International Association “ Türkmen alabaý itleri” were reviewed. As noted, Turkmenistan is creating all the necessary conditions for the development of the national art of dog breeding, whose origins date back to ancient times. Thanks to the construction of Turkmen Alabay centers that meet international standards in the country's regions and the city of Ashgabat, extensive opportunities are being created for cynologists to carry out their activities in accordance with modern requirements.

The organization of the international competition “Brave Turkmen Alabay of the Year” on the occasion of Turkmen Alabay Day, as well as competitions among carpet weavers, artists, sculptors, photographers, publishing house employees, and television camera operators for the best artistic depiction of the appearance of Turkmen Alabay dogs in works of fine and decorative arts, printed publications, photographs, and television programs, contributes to further enhancing the significance of the Turkmen Alabay in society and on the international stage.
