TURKMENISTAN SHOWCASES ENERGY CAPABILITIES AT GASTECH 2025 IN MILAN
Turkmenistan presented its capabilities in the gas industry at Gastech 2025, the world’s largest international exhibition and conference for natural gas, LNG, hydrogen, and climate technologies, held in Milan from September 9 to 12, according to the Turkmen Energy Forum.
Turkmenistan highlighted its status as home to the world’s fourth-largest natural gas reserves, including the supergiant Galkynysh field, as well as progress on the TAPI gas pipeline project, which will provide access to dynamic Asian markets. The country also emphasized expanding investment opportunities on the Caspian shelf, in oil refining, and its growing focus on artificial intelligence, renewable energy, and methane emissions reduction as part of its sustainable development agenda.
The central theme of Gastech 2025 was the future of natural gas. More than 50,000 energy professionals from 150 countries gathered to discuss the role of gas in the energy transition, the industry's drive toward innovation and clean technologies, the Turkmen Energy Forum reported.
The Turkmen Energy Forum held a series of meetings during the event and extended invitations to international companies to attend the 30th anniversary edition of the OGT 2025 Conference in Ashgabat, scheduled for October 22–24. Around 300 delegates from 40 countries have already confirmed their participation, and the exhibition space is fully booked. The event promises in-depth discussions on major projects, investments, and innovations in the energy sector.
