TURKMEN FOREIGN MINISTER MEETS QATARI MINISTER OF STATE IN DOHA

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met on Sunday in Doha with the Minister of State for International Cooperation of Qatar, Mariam bint Ali bin Nasser Al-Misnad, as reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The talks took place on the sidelines of a preparatory meeting of foreign ministers ahead of the extraordinary Arab-Islamic summit, scheduled to open in the Qatari capital on Monday.

The two officials discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation and exchanged views on issues of mutual interest.

The preparatory meeting was chaired by Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani and brought together representatives from member states of the League of Arab States and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, according to local media reports.
