YOUNG WEIGHTLIFTERS OF TURKMENISTAN WON MEDALS AT THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

Our compatriots won many medals at the 2025 Youth & Junior World Weightlifting Championships, which was held in Lima, the capital of Peru.

The winner of the World Junior Championships in the weight category 87 kg was Anamjan Rustamova. She won the gold medal with a result of 249 kg (108 kg in the snatch + 141 kg in the clean and jerk).

Ogulshat Amanova won the bronze medal of the Youth World Championships in the clean and jerk (101 kg) in the weight category up to 55 kilograms, in which 16 athletes competed.

The silver medalist of the Youth World Championships was Kakamyrat Annamyradov. His result in the weight category 73 kilograms is 290 kilograms (130 kg in the snatch + 160 kg in the clean and jerk).

Didarbek Dzhumabayev won a silver medal in the weight category 81 kg, having scored a total of 305 kilograms (137 kg in the snatch + 168 kg in the clean and jerk).

Islam Akmyradov also won a silver medal in the youth tournament. He achieved this success in the weight category 96 kilograms, having shown a total of 316 kilograms (141 kg in the snatch + 175 kg in the clean and jerk).
