TURKMENISTAN CELEBRATED WORLD HEALTH DAY WITH A LARGE-SCALE BIKE RIDE

Turkmenistan widely celebrated World Health Day with a series of events, the central one of which was a mass bike ride in Ashgabat with the participation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

The bike ride, which started in the southern part of Ashgabat, where the Health Trail begins and ended in the central part of the city near the Rukhiyet Palace, demonstrated the commitment of Turkmen citizens to the principles of a healthy lifestyle.

Similar bike rides took place in the city of Arkadag and in all regions of the country. From April 1 to 7, Turkmenistan also hosted thematic conferences, exhibitions, sports competitions and other events dedicated to this holiday.

Turkmenistan's initiatives to develop cycling culture were supported by UN General Assembly resolutions in 2018 and 2022.
