PRESIDENT OF TURKMENISTAN DISCUSSES PROSPECTS FOR BILATERAL COOPERATION WITH EMPEROR OF JAPAN
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with Emperor Naruhito during his visit to Japan.
The meeting took place this morning at the Imperial Palace, where the heads of state discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation.
According to the head of Turkmenistan, relations between the countries have entered a new phase of development.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the significant potential for expanding trade and economic cooperation, emphasizing the complementarity of the economies of the two countries.
"Japanese advanced technologies combined with Turkmenistan's rich natural resources create a solid foundation for mutually beneficial partnership," the head of Turkmenistan noted.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov focused on priority areas of modernization for Turkmenistan, including electric power, the oil and gas sector, the chemical industry, transport infrastructure and the agro-industrial complex.
During the conversation, it was emphasized that Japan is a strategic partner of Turkmenistan in the field of high technology.
