For the first time in history, Turkmen tennis players have earned the right to compete in the Junior Davis Cup U16 final qualifying round. The tournament will be held from May 16 to 24 in Shymkent, Kazakhstan, with 16 of the strongest teams from the Asian region participating. This was announced by the International Tennis Federation (ITF).

The Turkmenistan team received an invitation to participate in the final stage of the selection process following its performance in the preliminary round of qualification, which took place in March in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Fifteen teams participated in the tournament.

Teams from Australia, China, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong (PRC), India, Indonesia, Japan, Kazakhstan, the Republic of Korea, Pakistan, Thailand, Uzbekistan, Malaysia, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, and Turkmenistan will compete for four spots in the main tournament at the U16 Davis Cup Asian Final Qualifiers in Shymkent.

The Junior Davis Cup Finals will be held from August 3rd to 8th in Prostějov, Czech Republic. Sixteen top teams from all continents will compete for the championship title: six from Europe, four from Asia, and two each from North America, South America, and Africa.
