As a continuation of the poetry marathon organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the lead-up to World Poetry Day, the audience was treated to a Turkmen-language performance of the poem "In Our Paradise on Earth" by the outstanding Ukrainian poet, writer, artist, and great Kobzar Taras Shevchenko, recited by Kemal Gurbanmyradov, a representative of the Turkmen diaspora in Ukraine.

The poem profoundly reflects themes relatable and familiar to different peoples: maternal love, hope for a better future, and the desire for freedom. It explores themes of motherhood and its values, as well as the difficult fate of mothers, and themes of compassion and justice.

In Turkmenistan, the Kobzar's work is well known and deeply respected, making the celebration of his legacy an important element of cultural dialogue between peoples. The memory of Taras Shevchenko is immortalized in Ashgabat, where a street is named in his honor and a monument has been erected.
