AMBASSADOR OF TURKMENISTAN TO UKRAINE VISITED THE NATIONAL SCIENTIFIC AGRICULTURAL LIBRARY OF THE NATIONAL ACADEMY OF AGRARIAN SCIENCES OF UKRAINE

On March 4, 2025, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Ukraine Mr. Toyly Atayev visited the National Scientific Agricultural Library at the invitation of the library director, founder and head of the Institute of History of Agricultural Science, Education and Technology of the NSAL Viktor Vergunov.

The National Scientific Agricultural Library of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, which traces its origins back to 1917, is the leading specialized library of national importance in Ukraine and a scientific and information center for the formation of an industry segment of agricultural issues, as well as a scientific and methodological center for 210 library institutions of the agricultural profile. Its documentary and information potential is represented by more than a million-strong collection in 32 languages from 59 countries.

During the introductory tour, Viktor Vergunov showed the Ambassador of Turkmenistan the book collections stored in the library funds and which are a great asset of cultural and educational significance. The library presents numerous publications devoted to the agriculture of Turkmenistan.

Also presented here is Turkmen literature on various topics, previously transferred by the Embassy of Turkmenistan to the library fund. In particular, the books of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov "Flight of heavenly Steeds", "Swift step of race horse", the multi-volume "Medicinal plants of Turkmenistan", collections of poetry by Magtymguly Fragi in Ukrainian etc.

Mr. Atayev, for his part, replenished the collection of the national library, presenting Mr. Vergunov with the next volume of "Medicinal plants of Turkmenistan" and the book of the National Leader "30 Years. Independence - Our Happiness" in Ukrainian about the achievements of our country, in particular, in the agricultural sector.

The participants of the meeting expressed mutual interest in continuing the exchange of the latest industry literature, with the aim of strengthening and developing cultural and educational cooperation.
