President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov participated in the summit of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF)

On November 23, 2015 President of Turkmenistan H.E. Mr.Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, within the official visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran participated to the Summit of the member states of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF).

GECF – an international intergovernmental organization, created in 2008 and uniting the countries. Its members are 12 countries: Algeria, Bolivia, Egypt, Iran, Qatar, Libya, Nigeria, United Arab Emirates, Russia, Trinidad and Tobago, and Equatorial Guinea. The 6 countries are having observer status: Iraq, Kazakhstan, the Netherlands, Norway, Peru and Oman.

Presidents and high-ranking representatives of the GECF member countries, states with observer status, distinguished guests arrived in Tehran to participate to this summit. The forum was also attended by representatives of international organizations.

Speaking at a high-level Summit, the Turkmen leader expressed sincere gratitude to the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran for warm hospitality.
