MEETING WITH THE DELEGATION OF THE COMMITTEE ON FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF THE US HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE CONGRESS

On August 1, 2018, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan there was a meeting with the delegation of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the House of Representatives of the US Congress headed by the policy adviser Everett Price.

At the beginning of the meeting, noting the productive outcome of the joint work in enhancing bilateral relations between Turkmenistan and the United States of America, the sides expressed interest in their further diversification.

Within the framework of the meeting, the participants discussed the current state and prospects for the development of relations between Turkmenistan and the United States in the political, trade-economic, social and cultural-humanitarian spheres. In addition, joint steps were taken to strengthen bilateral and regional cooperation, as well as issues of mutual interest. In the agenda of the talks, issues of cooperation within the framework of the multilateral regional cooperation "C5 + 1" were noted.

Stressing the need for further progressive development of Turkmen-American cooperation, the sides discussed issues of its further expansion on a mutually beneficial basis.
