REGIONAL ELECTIONS TO THE MEJLIS AND THE PEOPLE'S COUNCIL WILL BE HELD IN TURKMENISTAN ON MARCH 29.

The Mejlis of Turkmenistan has adopted a resolution scheduling elections for members of the People's Council in the newly formed etraps of the velayats, as well as to replace those who have resigned early from the Mejlis and members of the velayat, etrap, and city People's Councils and gengeshes.

Elections for members of the People's Council will be held in the Altyn Asyr etrap of the Ahal velayat, the Garashsyzlyk and Gubadag etraps of the Dashoguz velayat, the Dovletli, Farab, and Garabekauul etraps of the Lebap velayat, and the Oguzkhan etrap of the Mary velayat.

As well as in electoral districts No. 74 "Amyderýa" and No. 79 "Darganata" in the Lebap velayat, and No. 104 and No. 106 in the Mary velayat, due to the early departure of deputies of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan.

The resolution was adopted in accordance with Articles 4, 85, and 87 of the Electoral Code of Turkmenistan and signed by Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan D. Gulmanova on January 7.
