PRESIDENT SERDAR BERDIMUHAMEDOV APPROVED THE MOTTO AND EMBLEM OF 2026

On Friday, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov of Turkmenistan held an expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers and the State Security Council, where he approved the emblem and motto for 2026: «Independent neutral Turkmenistan – the homeland of purposeful winged horses».

As Speaker of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan Dunyagozel Gulmanova noted, the proposals of representatives of the people, public organizations, labor collectives, and citizens were taken into account in developing the emblem and motto, as well as statements by the National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, on the symbolic significance of the Year of the Horse for the Turkmen people.

Addressing the meeting participants, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that the country proclaims a motto and approves an emblem for each new year, ensuring that it bears a modern name. The extended meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers and the State Security Council was also attended by the governors of the velayats and the city of Ashgabat.
