MEETING OF THE NATIONAL LEADER OF THE TURKMEN PEOPLE, CHAIRMAN OF THE HALK MASLAHATY OF TURKMENISTAN WITH THE VICE PRESIDENT, DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER OF THE UNITED ARAB EMIRATES

On February 21, 2025, at the International Airport of the capital, a meeting was held between the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Presidential Office of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Hero-Arkadag cordially welcomed the high-ranking guest to the hospitable Turkmen land.

Having exchanged friendly handshakes, Hero-Arkadag and Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan took pictures against the backdrop of the national flags of the two countries.

Expressing gratitude for the hospitality shown and conveying warm greetings and wishes of well-being and prosperity to the people of Turkmenistan to the National Leader of the Turkmen people on behalf of the President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the Vice President, Prime Minister, Minister of Defense of the United Arab Emirates, Ruler of the Principality of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the high-ranking representative of the UAE emphasized the enormous contribution of the Hero Arkadag to the development of bilateral dialogue.

 Thanking for the kind words and addressing return greetings and best wishes to the top leadership of the United Arab Emirates, the National Leader of the Turkmen people emphasized that the regular visits of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan to our country testify to the very high level of traditionally friendly and brotherly relations between the two states.

As noted during the meeting, increasing cooperation with the UAE is among the priorities of Turkmenistan's foreign policy. The interaction between the two countries is based on the principles of mutual respect and support. Systematic high-level visits form a reliable platform for expanding interstate dialogue in a wide range of areas.

The need was noted for consistently strengthening partnership in such important areas as culture, science and education, art and creativity, as well as holding mutual Days of Cultures and specialized exhibitions on a regular basis.

As emphasized during the meeting, a special Resolution of the United Nations General Assembly, initiated by the President of Turkmenistan, declared 2025 the "International Year of Peace and Trust", which is marked by the 30th anniversary of our country's neutrality.

Having reported that the International Forum for Peace and Trust will be held in Ashgabat on December 12, 2025, Hero-Arkadag handed over to Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan an invitation for the President of the UAE Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to the upcoming major event and noted the great importance of his participation in this forum.

The distinguished guest, in turn, emphasized that the UAE always supports the initiatives put forward by Turkmenistan on the sidelines of the UN to strengthen peace and stability.

At the end of the meeting, Hero-Arkadag and Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Presidential Office of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan exchanged wishes for success in state activities, as well as peace and prosperity to the fraternal peoples of the two countries.
