TURKMENISTAN AND CHINA INTEND TO DEVELOP COMPREHENSIVE STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP

On January 15, 2025, a meeting took place in Ashgabat between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China Liu Bin.

During the meeting, the sides considered a wide range of issues for effective development of bilateral partnership, which has a comprehensive strategic and long-term feature.

The high level of trust and friendship between the heads of two states creates favorable conditions for further development of interstate relations.

Successful cooperation between Turkmenistan and China is established within the framework of international and regional structures, primarily on the UN platform.

It was emphasized that special importance is given to interstate dialogue in the “Central Asia-China” format.

In addition, inter-parliamentary and inter-party ties are being intensified, as well as cooperation between the regions has also received a new effective impetus.

The diplomats noted the effective partnership in trade-economic sphere, analyzed the progress of joint activities in the field of energy, transport-communication connectivity and in cultural-humanitarian area.

The sides expressed readiness to continue effective relations that meet national interests and development priorities of two friendly countries and peoples.
